Well, there’s a lot that I
could say about myself really, I have led a
very interesting life, I have experienced a
lot and I have done some pretty cool
things. Where to start talking about it is
hard, but I will give you the low down on
certain areas of my life that mean the most.
As many of you have already
guessed, I’m a programmer, if you didn’t
know, take a look at Troupware. I have been
programming for years, its one thing that I
do that has brought a lot of meaning into my
life and has helped me realize what I am
capable of doing and producing. I started
out young, getting into computers when I was
about 10, although my interest started way
before this. I got my first computer at 10
years old, which at the time, was a pretty
good computer.
Of course, by this point, I
was just a standard computer user, but I was
able to learn things about computers quicker
than most other people. Because of this, by
the time I was 12, my computer had
internally transformed. I always remember
my friend coming over and seeing all of the
strange things I had done to Windows 3.1,
and he was amazed. Of course, at 12, this
was the time my whole education life
dramatically changed.
I started going to boarding
school at age 12 to help me over come my
increasing learning difficulties, which was
recognized as Dyslexia. Of course, because
my school was private, I had access to the
best computer equipment available. After I
had learned about other operating systems
and learned everything I needed to know
about Microsoft Windows, I started to focus
my attention in the development side of
computing.
The first type of development
I started doing was website building. I
started building very simple sites to begin
with; using FrontPage to aid the visual
design and HTML for slightly more
complicated sections. Of course, I wanted
to do better than this, so I started looking
at simple JavaScript’s, which would enable
me to make my websites even better. After a
year, website building had become an easy
task, so I started to expand my development
ways, into program writing.
Programming for me took a long time to get
my head around, as I had to learn problem
solving skills, I had to understand how all
of the inbuilt functions of particular
programming languages worked and how I could
use them, etc. Once I had moved far enough
with programming, I started to write small
programs, which I released a few of onto my
then company website Understealth. Of
course, I learn other skills along the way
to, which involved learning graphic design
(for logos, pictures, etc), icon creating,
user interface design skills, etc.
Programming is what I do best
now, I spend more time building programs
than website building, although I still do
this from time to time (look at the
Troupware site and this site for example).
I create programs every year, most of which
are completely random ideas and some of
which I have had suggested to me.
One of my
best pieces of software is called Winlaunch,
which is available from the main Troupware
site, which has had hundreds of thousands of
downloads in the recent months.
I have come a long way over
the years; I am continually updating my
skills and producing better programs. I
will continue to do this as I move on with
my life. I’m not a sad geek though that
spends all of his time program, I have
friends, I go out, I drink, I go to
university, I play guitar and I have a
really great family, which I can always rely
on. Family is one of the most important
things to me, which will never change.
My friends also mean a lot to
me, fine, some are good programmers and some
are learning. I always laugh around with
them, crack jokes and try to enjoy my time
with them the best I can.
Well, with
that said, I hope I have given you enough
information about me. If you have any
questions you want to ask, please drop me an
email at my personally email address, not my
Understealth email. My personal email
address is
